Montreal – CANADA
Blue Metropolis Foundation is a not-for-profit organization founded in 1997 that brings together people from different cultures to share the pleasure of reading and writing, and encourages creativity and intercultural understanding. The Foundation produces an Annual Literary Festival of international calibre and offers a wide range of educational and social programs year-round, both in classrooms and online. These programs use reading and writing as a therapeutic tool, encourage academic perseverance, fight against poverty and isolation, and develop inter-cultural dialogue.
Blue Metropolis Foundation will contribute content for the Performigrations Art Installation, with special regard to storytelling and literature on/of diversity. It will organise and promote a series of cultural events in Montreal within the ‘Festival littéraire de Montréal Metropolis Bleu” in April 2016, including: public readings, meetings with European and Canadian renown writers discussing memory migration & storytelling, reading/writing programs with schools. It will also contribute to the project internationalisation, dissemination and sustainability.
